The curving lines for this painting originated from a sketch on the canvas of a large, wild cherry tree in our yard. It wasn’t until I started drawing the tree’s trunk and branches that I realized how beautiful and graceful the tree is. Before entering the painting into the Oliver Art Center Holiday Show I added many animals and insects, almost all of which live around us. There are two entities that may be visiting from the north.
